I want to use the Eero 6/6+’s built-in Zigbee hub rather than purchasing a separate hub. Which devices are dependable, how can I couple them, and are there any tips or restrictions to be mindful of?

The built-in Zigbee hub in devices such as the eero 6, Pro 6, and 6+ functions similarly to the Zigbee in the Echo Plus or Echo Show. After your Amazon and eero accounts are linked, your Zigbee-logo items should pair seamlessly through the eero app or Alexa app. Devices from any manufacturer can be used (for example, Sonoff sensors pair well), although some require proprietary hubs if they require additional functions.

    Steps for Setup:

    • Ensure your eero is updated and your Amazon account is linked (eero app → Settings → Network → Amazon Connected Home).
    • In Alexa or eero app, go to Add Device → Zigbee.
    • Put your Zigbee device in pairing mode and let it connect.
    • Manage it through Alexa or Smart Home sections in the app.
